You know you're a redneck when...

you spend Father's Day like this:
Look at my boy. The focus. The grit. The determination.
Look at what he did to my elk!

okay, so this numbskull brother of mine played a part in that, as did my dad, other brother, and dear husband.

And oh yeah, this peanut too.
Though I'm not sure she hit more than a few ants along the ground. Or a pop can.
I stepped in and started throwing clay pigeons for them instead, and although I have pictures to prove that, I am not sure I want to post them here. So I'm not.
Its my blog, I'll do it my way.

How was your Father's Day? Did you shoot it up, or play a nice game of UNO instead?

HILARIOUS! I love it. They look so engaged and determined :)...I am jealous because although we live in Texas(where everyone owns a huntin' rifle), I have NEVER shot a gun in my life, sad but true. Looks like y'all had a fun-filled Father's Day!

My husband" wanted" a gun for Father's day. Haven't picked it up yet...The weekend before we shot. Yes...I did too. At his brother's land. It was fun.

But for Father's day we celebrated Zeke's bday too. So all the dad's came over and we had the family together. It was fun! Crazy but fun!

LOL, too cute. ;) No we didn't shoot anything. We just took my dad out to lunch...hey, eating is a serious dad thing too. :)
(Besides, leting my dad play cards is dangerous. He's way too competative. LOL)

I'm sure my boys would have loved to shoot it up on Father's Day -- or any day!

It does look like fun...

Our front yard has been the scene of more cap gun battles than I can count.

I'm sure they had a perfectly marvelous time!!! No redneck status needed.

Chris and I earned the lazy status on Father's Day - we took a 3 hour nap while Ali did. It was lovely.

HA! Love it!

I had a redneck birthday this weekend as well....

Got me some new muck boots for the barn, some new milking supplies for my goats, and a new shovel. I even got a pack of fly strips. YEEHAW!
